Apartment hunting made easy!

by FatBaby on May.25, 2009, under Survival Guides

apartmentclI’m going to start with an assumption- We’ve all had to apartment hunt sometimes. I’m also going to assume that you’ve had the same experience as me when it comes to apartment hunting- It sucks. You waste your weekend, or your day off, your gas, your sanity, and by the time it’s over, you never want to see craigslist again. Here’s where it gets different for me, though. I look for apartments and houses for rent even when the ink is still wet on my lease! I actually enjoy looking at the ads people post online! Because I do this so often, and have moved several times over the last few years (always looking for the upgrade!), I threw together a quick list of things that can save you time, gas, money, and sanity when looking for a place. An average dude’s quick morning workout.

by FatBaby on May.19, 2009, under Hobbies, Looks

workout1So, many of us dudes carry around a spare tire, let’s not lie. I mean, it might just be a spare tire for a tricycle, but it could also be the backup for a semi. I think we all want to lose that extra weight. But who has time for a dedicated workout? Not every guy works 8 hours a day and then has the time or energy to work out for 6 more! Are we stuck carrying the spare for the rest of our days?

No way! There’s lots of stuff we can do to trim those waistlines back to the ones our ladies remember us having! Here’s one average dude’s quick morning workout routine that helps keep the pounds down. (continue reading…)

Priming Your Models

by BaldyBear on May.16, 2009, under Crafting, Hobbies

sp1If you’re like me, some dudes like to do a bit of modeling in their off time. If you don’t, I’d suggest giving a try at least once. It’s a good way to relax and clear your mind, not to mention a good way to kill some time.

Here I’m going to show you how to properly prime your models. This can be done while the model is either still on the sprue, or after it’s been assembled. I prefer the former whenever possible, as it prevents having to go and blast an area with paint if it’s in one of those “hard to reach” areas. (continue reading…)

A Dude’s Guide to Laundry

by BaldyBear on May.11, 2009, under Chores, Clothes

laundry1Laundry. We all dread it. If you’re like me, you own a ridiculous amount of socks and underwear in order to put off the dreaded “laundry day”. The rest of the stuff is pretty unimportant. Shirts can be turned inside out, and pants? Really? Unless you spill something on them, there’s nothing that will tip people off that you’re wearing the same pair for an extended period of time. Well… unless you have your name bedazzled across the ass cheeks of your pants… but then, I think you have larger problems than doing laundry. Fear not, Average Dude! Laundry is quick, simple, and not to mention a lot better for your hygiene. (continue reading…)
